Silver Saver is available in two grades which are impregnated with a special formula with a high capacity for absorption of hydrogen sulfide fumes.

A basic sheet for food and industrial packaging used to protect, preserve and separate. 30 lb. basis weight Kraft is surface waxed on two sides to 43 lbs. (Basis Wt. 30/43) making it impervious to liquids, oils and greases. Available in standard 9" diameter counter rolls.

Possible uses include:

An economy grade of white, 100% recycled tissue. Excellent for a variety of applications from separating fabric, non-critical interleaving of metals, stuffing, wrapping parts, as well as retail gift wrapping and packing.

MIL-B-121, GRADE A, POLY KRAFT WRAP

Polyethylene Coated Kraft material in conformance with MIL-B-121 specifications. In addition to military applications, Grade A materials are widely used in industry as waterproof, greaseproof wraps.

Wax-coated Barrier Material constructed of scrim and film with various weights of microcrystalline wax. Conforms to MIL-B-121. Tough, waterproof and self-adhering, Grade C materials are especially suitable for irregularly-shaped military and industrial products.

Grade C, MIL-B-121 is intended for use only as an outer wrap of boxed or unboxed preserved material. The package is usually sealed by a wax coating over the Grade C material.

Non-military specification barrier wrap is intended for industrial non-military use as greaseproof intimate wraps for cushioning and protecting metal surfaces during shipment and storage. Self- adherent wax coating allows these barriers to be easily molded and sealed around a machined or polished part. If transfer of the wax coating to the surface of the part would be injurious, Class 1 (wax coating on one side only) should be used.

Barrier wrap (all Class I) is used where waterproof, vaporproof, flexible barriers for military or industrial parts in storage or shipment are required. These products also meet requirements of MIL-B-117, Type I, Class E, Style 1.

Barrier wrap (Class II) is used where packages do not exceed 10 lbs. or whose length plus width does not exceed 42".

VCI stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor. Papers and films impregnated with special chemicals safely prevent corrosion on packaged metals without the need for messy or expensive protective coatings.

Airtight packaging is not required! The chemicals in VCI products are volatile. When metals are wrapped or packaged in VCI, the chemicals vaporize in the packaging environment forming a protective layer on the surfaces preventing moisture, salt, dirt, oxygen, etc. from depositing on the metal.

The protective layer immediately dissipates when parts are unwrapped. The metal parts are clean, corrosion-free and ready to use. No washing, dipping or cleaning is necessary.

VCI products should be used in metal applications where corrosion can occur. This includes in-process, while in storage, during transportation, in inventory and during export. Unprotected metals begin to corrode immediately so even JIT manufactured parts will benefit from the protection.
